Cookie Preferences

The short version: BidYourStartup currently uses no non-essential cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no consent banner — because there is nothing to consent to beyond what keeps the site working.

1. What we use today

1. Strictly necessary storage only. If any storage is set at all, it exists to process your purchase (payment session identifiers from our payment processor) or to keep the site secure. These cannot be switched off without breaking checkout.
2. No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics, Plausible, or any other analytics tool, and we do not fingerprint visitors.
3. No advertising cookies. We do not participate in any ad network and set no marketing or retargeting cookies.

2. Future cookie categories (placeholder)

If we ever add optional categories, we will list them here, explain what each does, and provide per-category opt-in controls — with a consent banner where required. Categories we might one day add:

• Analytics (not currently used) — anonymous usage statistics.
• Preferences (not currently used) — remembering choices you make on the site.

This section is a placeholder: as of today, neither category is in use, and no consent banner is needed.

3. Clearing cookies in your browser

1. Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → “Clear browsing data” → Cookies and other site data.
2. Safari: Settings → Privacy → “Manage Website Data” → Remove, or “Clear History”.
3. Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → “Clear Data…”.
4. Clearing cookies for this site only removes strictly necessary storage — you lose nothing else, since we set nothing else.
